Spider Food UK supplies live feeder insects and breeding cultures intended for use as feeder insects and/or breeding stock.

Products are supplied for the purpose described in the individual product listing. Customers are responsible for determining whether a particular feeder species and size is suitable for the animal they intend to feed.

Live Feeder Insects

Live insects and cultures are biological products. Their appearance, activity level, size and developmental stage may naturally vary.

A culture may contain different life stages, including adults, larvae and pupae. These proportions can change during transport and while the culture continues to develop.

Please follow the relevant Spider Food UK Care Guide for information about storage, handling and maintenance.

Important Feeding Information

Not every life stage of every feeder species is suitable for feeding.

For example, adult Peanut Beetles are supplied as part of a breeding colony and are not intended to be offered as feeder prey. Only the appropriate larval stage should be used for feeding.

Please check the individual product description and Care Guide before offering any feeder insect to your animal.

Animal Care

The customer is responsible for selecting appropriately sized prey and supervising feeding where appropriate.

Uneaten live prey should be managed appropriately and should not be left with an animal where it could cause stress or injury.

Environmental Responsibility

Live feeder insects must be kept securely and must not be intentionally released outdoors or into the environment.

Please take reasonable precautions to prevent escape during storage, handling and feeding.

Local Collection

Local collection is available by prior arrangement only. The exact date and time must be agreed with Spider Food UK in advance. Collection details will be provided privately after an appointment has been confirmed.
